Magnetic gears offer significant advantages such as low noise and vibration level, lower maintenance higher reliability compared to mechanical are suitable for many applications in the industry. The coaxial magnetic gear has been extensively discussed literature, since it achieves torque densities amongst other configurations. field is generated by permanent magnets mounted on two rotors a modulator between them. consists of ferromagnetic segments that typically encased resin order increase its stiffness without compromising field. However, due development radial forces, oscillations occur, which lead ripples affect operation drive where accuracy required. This work introduces computationally lightweight analytical 2D model determine applied force at each angle rotation henceforth calculate displacement these using FEA. In this way possible assess variation (ripple) versus input or output shaft. A parametric investigation examining influence segment thickness resulting ripple specific was carried out illustrating benefits models developed herein.
